Merry Christmas!

Today is the last day of our Advent calendar. We went out and took some photos at my parent's house.

Advent: Day 24

Day 24: enjoy some hot chocolate.

Fletcher's Mom got me a Keurig for Christmas!! I was so excited! We had to come back to my parents house and get it out and make hot chocolate!

Also, Fletcher got me 2 more mugs! Now we have matching Starbucks mugs.

Day 22: Write each other a silly poem.

I don't have a photo to go with today but I can tell you Fletcher's poem was very silly but very cute and sweet.

Also, it snowed tonight!!!!

Advent: day 21

Day 21: play a board game.

When planning out our advent calendar activities I payed close attention to where we would be each day. Knowing we would be at my parent's house today I decided to make today's activity play a board game. We are always playing games with my parents do tonight we plate monopoly. My dad and I teamed up towards the end and won.

Advent: Day 20

Day 20: List 10 reasons why you love each other.

This one was pretty easy but it was fun.

Day 19: Spend the entire evening with just the Christmas tree lights on.

Day 18: Watch a Christmas movie.

We chose White Christmas. It's probably my favorite Christmas movie and my favorite Christmas song. I wish we had white Christmases here in Oklahoma but it's rare. Maybe I'll get lucky this year. :)

Advent: Day 17

Day 17: Bake cookies.

We made some super yummy peanut butter cup cookies with the last of our pb cups from Trader Joe's. 

We also decided to go ahead and exchange our gifts from each other since this week is going to be extremely busy and we will be out of town for Christmas. (and partially because we just can't wait when it comes to giving each other gifts)

Our main thing was filling up each other's stockings. It was a success. 

Fletcher surprised me with this super cute mug that I have been wanting. He even remembered which color I wanted! He's getting good at keeping notes about stuff like that. 

Here is the rest of the loot I got from Fletcher. He is the best gift giver. He knows me better than anyone and always gets me the perfect gifts. 

Advent: Day 16

Day 16: Go look at Christmas lights. 

Sadly, we didn't get to go look at Christmas lights. Fletcher wasn't feeling too good so we decided to go check out the lights another day. We decided to stay in and hang out with some friends and play some games.

We played The Game of Things. It was hilarious. This is the aftermath of our game.

Advent: Day 15

Day 15: Play a game.

My original intent for today was to play a board game like Scrabble or even a card game but Fletcher isn't feeling well so we opted for something that didn't take too much thinking or effort but is still super fun!

MARIO KART!

I made Fletcher some Sleepy Time tea while I had some Candy Cane Green Tea from Trader Joe's. I can't thank Lindsi enough for sending me so many yummy treats from Trader Joe's. Fletcher and I are already talking about making a trip to Kansas City sometime in the next few months (hopefully if the weather permits) to get more Trader Joe's treats!

Day 14: Exchange Christmas cards.

Fletcher already got me a Christmas card and put it in my stocking since he knows how much I love cards but he wouldn't let me have that one today so we had to make our own. I already got him one in his stocking too. ;)

Day 13: Watch a Christmas movie we've never seen before.

We've never watched The Polar Express even though we've owned it for a couple of years now! ha! But we finally did tonight and it was pretty good.

Day 10: Ice cream date Donut date!

Our Advent calendar originally said ice cream date but it was pretty cold outside and donuts just sounded so much better. So we headed to Krispy Kreme.

Advent: day 9

Day 9: Do some Christmas shopping.

Today we headed up to Rogers, AR to do some Christmas shopping with Fletcher's mom. I got all of Fletcher's presents and a few things for me. The Pacsun is going out of business so I scored two dresses, a pair of shoes, a scarf and a belt for my friend for about $40! That's how much one of the dresses originally was! I'll post pics of my finds soon. Anyway, back to Christmas!!! The mall was decorated so beautifully. It was cold but well worth it.

Day 8: Enjoy some chocolate.

Day 7: Eat waffles with lots and lots of syrup (inspired by Elf)

Today was the first day I've ever made waffles. Not sure why I've never done it before because it was super easy.

That's hard to read but it says what we were supposed to do today. 

Advent Day 6

Day 6: Make a paper chain.

Today the hubs finally got his cast off! YAY! We got to go to Starbucks and get celebratory drinks. 

We also went to Hobby Lobby and got some new ornaments and a few other decorations. 

We ended up making two paper chains. I made this one and hung it on the Christmas tree.

Fletcher helped me make the big one and it's hanging above our couch. Our house just keeps getting more and more festive!
