When the weather is nice we usually either take a walk in the evenings or go for bike ride. Today we decided on a walk. It rained a little earlier so the temperature was perfect and it was nice and sunny. I found some pretty flowers along the way so of course I had to stop and take a few photos. I even picked some to bring home. It was a little too dark to get any photos once we got home so hopefully I can get some in the morning.

cold brew
Last night I decided to make some cold brew concentrate from the recipe that Abi posted on Vanilla & Lace the other day. It turned out delicious and it's like the easiest thing to make. I think I will definitely be making this a ton this summer.

Memorial Day
Yesterday I went with my parents to decorate for Memorial Day. It's kind of a tradition for the 3 of us to go and take flowers to their parent's graves and we always stop and have lunch. This time we threw in a little shopping on the way too. Always a fun addition to any outing. I decided to take my camera so I could play with my lens. I've been so excited about it and just ready to get out and take tons of photos. So, hey, hit me up, let's have a photo shoot!
Our first stop was the cemetery where my mom's parents are buried.
We googled to see if any famous people were buried at this cemetery and turns out Joe Frazier who was a famous baseball player in the 1940s is buried in Bixby, Ok. Pretty awesome, so we walked around and found his headstone. The other headstone was just kinda neat. It was super old and kinda sounds like an old western cowboy name.
Then, we went to Broken Arrow where my dad's parents are buried and walked around there for a while looking for one of my brother's best friends who died when they were younger.
Not gonna lie, I was a bit hesitant to post cemetery photos but I loved how these came out.

Made
Today we went and hung out at Made in downtown Tulsa for a while. Our friends, Thom & Christine, own the shop and sell handmade items from tons of different artists. They have so many cute things! I pretty much want to buy everything every time I visit one of their shops. I walked around the store taking photos and playing with my new lens. Here are some shots from the shop. If you are in the Tulsa area you should go check out one of their shops. They have one downtown at 8th & Boston and one on 6th and Peoria in the Pearl District.

that time i got a new lens
Today was a big day for me. I finally decided to buy a second lens for my dslr! I've had my camera for like 4 years, I think, and I have yet to buy a new lens. I loved learning with my stock lens. It is a great starter lens and I'm sure I will still use it quite a bit. I really wanted something that had a lower F stop and that I could get a better depth of field with so I went with the 50mm f/1.8. Not only was this lens exactly what I wanted but it also is like the cheapest lens out there. Ha! This lens so far has not disappointed. I've only had it for one day and I'm totally in love. I ordered it refurbished from Canon so it was a lot cheaper than new. It still came with a year warranty so I feel pretty comfortable with it. Here are a few shots from today. More to come very very soon! I can't wait to get out and play with it some more.
