Road Trip 2014: Day 8

Our first day in Portland was, as cliche as it sounds, life-changing. We fell in love with everything. The food, the people, the coffee, the weather, the atmosphere, the culture, you name it, we loved it. We walked around all over Portland and ate Voodoo donuts and the best grilled cheese ever from a food cart, had coffee at Heart, caught up with some old friends over ice cream, explored Powell's, did a little shopping at H&M and then caught the train back to Aloha, OR where we were staying. It was such an amazing day. I wish we could go back and do it all again.

When we got off the train and were waiting on our friends to pick us up we even caught the super moon!

DIY Bokeh Filter

I have seen DIY bokeh filter tutorials before but today I saw one on The Friendly Fox and I finally decided to try it out.

I decided to make a heart and after three tries of cutting the right size heart I finally got the right size down. These photos aren't perfect examples but I think they came out pretty cool.

This last one was an accident. I was zoomed out too far and got this shot. It turned out pretty cute though.

Here's the link to the tutorial. It's super easy and takes just a few minutes to get started.

Craft time!

Today was craft day. I made a trip to Hobby Lobby with my friend Brittany and got a bunch of supplies for Christmas crafts. Here are a few of the felt ornaments I made tonight.

I'm going to be selling some of these lovely little things. I'm making some more designs too. If you'd like to buy one or suggest a design feel free to email me!
More great news on the way soon!
