life lately

The past few weeks have been pretty good. Kinda of crazy weather wise though. We've had to run to friend's and family's houses to hide from tornados a couple of times but it's not so bad. It's scary but a nice little excuse to visit with loved ones.

Fletcher and I broke out the Xbox the other day and played some Left 4 Dead together. Shooting zombies can be romantic right? ;)

This past weekend we kicked things off by hanging out with our besties Sam & Rob. We had a nice little dinner, went to the mall and then hit up Barnes & Noble for some Starbucks.

Fletcher totally photobombed us.

We spent the night at their house and the next day we went and got our first snow cones of summer! They were delicious. I got Summer Lovin' (peach, cranberry and lemon).

Then we headed to my parent's house for the rest of the weekend and ate a lot of food. We also went to see Fast & Furious 6 which we were both super excited about and it did not disappoint! Now I just need a sweet muscle car!

Monday we had some delicious watermelon and then Fletcher and I went to Rogers, Ar. to do a little shopping and just hang out. We love going to Rogers. Then we just came home and are slowly getting back into our routine. Fletcher's still working tons of overtime so it's back to work for him and I've been doing some reorganizing/cleaning.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!

Holiday Wish List: Black Box Dessert Club

Hey there everyone! I'm back! I've been super busy crafting and getting a little photography business going but I didn't forget about you!

I'm back with some awesome and yummy gift ideas for the upcoming holidays! Of course you all know that I loooove Christmas. It is my absolute favorite time of year and if you ask me it just can't start early enough. So, here's my first recommendation for those foodies and sweets lovers on your Christmas lists.

Black Box Dessert Club is a dessert of the month club run by one of my dear friends, Leti. Basically, she searches and finds fancy sweets and treats and helps spread the word about them with different boxes she puts together. Here is a little peek at the new holiday boxes. Everything in them looks sooo good! They are definitely on my holiday wish list.

gourmet food gifts
Cookies, caramels, chocolates...who wouldn't want to get that in the mail?! Especially during the crazy holiday season. It would be so nice to just curl up with some hot cocoa and nibble on a cookie or some chocolate and relax.

yummy food gifts
Pumpkin Spice chocolate!! I think I'm in heaven. There is nothing that screams holidays better than pumpkin. I love pumpkin everything so I can only imagine how delicious this chocolate bar would be. Oh, I couldn't forget about the Peanut Butter Trance bar either. The hubs would go crazy for that. He loves peanut butter as much as I love pumpkin.
handmade food gifts
How darling are these gourmet food gift boxes!?

This popcorn from 479 Popcorn would be fun to experiment with and possibly make some caramel drizzled popcorn or even make some popcorn balls with. Holiday baking is my favorite thing about this season. You could also use the Vegan Coconut Java caramels to add some pizazz to the Marzipan Rye cookies too! So many possibilities! Of course you can always just enjoy each thing separately but sometimes it's fun to try new things.

new traditions

This year we've started a couple of new traditions. One of them is our Advent Calendar. It's been so much fun. The other is collecting the Starbucks Holiday ornaments.

I bought the Logo Evolution set of ornaments from Starbucks this year. They came with the 3 logos they've had and the Holiday ornament for this year.

This is my whole collection so far. I have another ornament on it's way. It's a super cute Starbucks mug!

Here are the 3 Holiday ornaments I have so far. I didn't get last years ornament. We hadn't started collecting yet so now I'm sad because I didn't realize I had 2008 and 2009 until today!
