Rain, rain go away!
This is a before and after of my back yard yesterday and today after the crazy amount of rain we got last night. It's still raining too! It's supposed to rain all week! I'm all about getting some rain but dang! That's too much! It would be alright if it didn't flood like this. Oh well, gives me a good excuse to stay in a cuddle my pup. I may read a book or two as well. Sounds like a pretty good plan huh?
What's your favorite thing to do on a rainy day?

a little weekend update
Here are a few of my favorite Instagrams from this weekend. From the top left we have our Sunday Starbucks date, next up we have the most amazing lunch ever, Panera mac & cheese with a baguette and sweet tea, then the cutest camera I found at a yard sale for a dollar(!) and last but not least (it actually came first since it was taken on Friday) my Dad's 1955 chevy. I love that car, it's so awesome and it was hist first car! He's kept it all these years. So cool.
This weekend we had a yard sale to help get rid of some stuff we just don't have room for or don't need anymore. We did pretty good. We sold probably 75% of what we had out and the rest we donated to Goodwill and Salvation Army. I love the feeling after a yard sale or a donation trip. I love donating but I also just love getting rid of stuff that's just cluttering up my tiny house. I think I did pretty good this weekend too because I only bought 2 things from another yard sale. Haha! I figured I'd go out to check them out and come home with more stuff. Oh, I should probably mention that our town had a city wide yard sale event this weekend so there were quite a few families who had their own and a few business here did as well. It was pretty fun and we met a lot of people who live here. We only knew a handful of people before that. I really love our small town (it's really small) and I like being just close enough to a big city that we can have random little dates whenever we want to but we have the safety and quietness of a small town to come home to. Don't get me wrong I love big cities but maybe it's just the one we live close to that doesn't seem to be safe no matter where you are. There's so much crime there it's crazy! Maybe I'm just a little extra paranoid but it's scary. The worst thing that's happened since we moved here is a train derailed. No one was hurt and it didn't really do any damage (except to the train). I'm glad we ended up where we are for now. Who knows maybe someday we will move to a whole new state or maybe just buy some land outside of our tiny town. We will see.

summertime planning
This summer Fletcher and I will hopefully (keep your fingers crossed!) be going on a road trip! Yep, I think we may finally be getting to go on a real vacation all by ourselves. Don't get me wrong I looove going places with my parents and seeing my family but Fletcher and I have never been more than 4 hours away from home by ourselves on our own little trip! Needless to say I'm extremely excited. Where are we going you ask? To Denver! Actually, we will be headed a little north of there to visit his brother first but then we will be hitting Boulder, Denver and Colorado Springs! So far I've only been able to look up places to eat! I can't bring myself to look at much else. Fletcher and I love to eat so we are pretty excited to try out some of the local places and food trucks! I had no idea Denver had so many food carts/trucks. Here are a few places we will definitely be trying first!

Steuben's Do you have any recommendations? I'd love to hear about any places we should eat/visit/stay/shop in Boulder, Denver, Colorado Springs or around there! |

the post with no name
I couldn't think of a good title for this post. It's kind of just a jumble of lots of things recently. So, here we go!
Woah! It's me! I hardly ever post pictures of myself on here unless they are from a photo shoot or something but I really liked this picture.
My lovely Valentine's day rose and movie tickets! The Vow was sooo good!
Valentine's day ice cream date!
Our "mean" puppy. I have no idea why she makes mean face all the time. She's so sweet.
She also likes to lay like a frog? She's goofy.
Fuzzy bear! This is after playing and rolling around on the floor.
"Playtime Momma?"
We are best buds.
Another weird way that she lays. It doesn't look comfortable but she lays like this a lot.
Looking mean again because I won't give her the toy.
Leap Day free cookie!!!!
Kind of been obsessed with them lately.
Sunny nap time.
Lazy bums.
Precious little Princess.
Starbucks date.
My thrift finds from last weekend. I got all of this for $15!! A few of those books have been on my reading list for a while now so I was super excited that I found them!
This is her "I don't wanna get up and go to the vet" face.
Driving to my parent's house so we can take the baby to the vet to get spayed.
Yeah, I totally found this awesomeness for $5 the other day at a flea market. Perfect condition and it said the cassette has never been played! I pretty much love it.
What have you been up to lately?
