the post with no name

I couldn't think of a good title for this post. It's kind of just a jumble of lots of things recently. So, here we go!

Woah! It's me! I hardly ever post pictures of myself on here unless they are from a photo shoot or something but I really liked this picture.

My lovely Valentine's day rose and movie tickets! The Vow was sooo good!

Valentine's day ice cream date!

Our "mean" puppy. I have no idea why she makes mean face all the time. She's so sweet.

She also likes to lay like a frog? She's goofy.

Fuzzy bear! This is after playing and rolling around on the floor.

"Playtime Momma?"

We are best buds.

Another weird way that she lays. It doesn't look comfortable but she lays like this a lot.

Looking mean again because I won't give her the toy.

Leap Day free cookie!!!!

Kind of been obsessed with them lately.

Sunny nap time.

Lazy bums.

Precious little Princess.

Starbucks date.

My thrift finds from last weekend. I got all of this for $15!! A few of those books have been on my reading list for a while now so I was super excited that I found them!

This is her "I don't wanna get up and go to the vet" face.

Driving to my parent's house so we can take the baby to the vet to get spayed.

Yeah, I totally found this awesomeness for $5 the other day at a flea market. Perfect condition and it said the cassette has never been played! I pretty much love it.

What have you been up to lately?

late valentine's day

Seriously, is this not the cutest puppy face you've ever seen? I love her so much. Since we've brought her home and decided to keep her this little girl has been the best puppy in the world. A few days after we brought her home she went into heat...ugh...we were planning on getting her fixed ASAP but that just had to happen and finally 15 days later she's done with the messy part of being in heat. Now we just have to wait 2 weeks and we can take her to get spayed. She's been pretty good through it though because we had to keep her in doggy diapers which is just super cute but she doesn't like them. But now she can get back to normal...until we take her to the vet.

My Mother-in-law came over last Saturday and we went out for a shopping day in Tulsa. She bought me a ton of Mambas and brought me a new book to read, Rebecca.

I decided to leave up my Valentine's day decorations because I just love hearts and they turned out pretty darn cute.

My absolutely amazing husband surprised me this past Sunday with a rose when I woke up and had a whole date planned for me since we didn't get to fully celebrate Valentine's day on Tuesday because it was a weekday and he's been working a lot of overtime. So, Sunday I woke up and got ready and while I was getting ready my love gave me the sweetest card ever and inside were movie tickets to see The Vow. I've been dying to see it! (It was soo good. I highly recommend it!) Before we could leave for the movie we had to help our friends move their new hot tub into their backyard then we were off! First, we headed to the movies and both loved it then I had another surprise. About halfway to the secret location I figured out where we were headed. ICE CREAM!!! My love took me to get my favorite cheesecake ice cream at Marble Slab. Then we headed home and just relaxed with our puppy for the rest of the night. It was a perfect Valentine's day.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope you are all having a wonderful Valentine's Day so far. I've got a super yummy cheesecake in the oven for my sweetheart and I'm listening to some of my favorite love songs.

Billy Currington - No One Has Eyes Like You

Today's song is very special not only because it's super cute and I love Billy Currington but my love is getting me tickets to see him! They were supposed to be a surprise but when I heard about the show on the radio I freaked out and Fletcher knew I was going no matter what so he went ahead and told me! I am so excited! Best Valentine's Day present ever!

Don't forget that today isn't just about love between you and a significant other. It's also just about love. Love for your parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, friends or even your pet! So, make sure you let those people who are most important to you know that you love them today and everyday.

Happy Love Day!

Day 3: Movie Tunes

1. Elephant Love Medley - Moulin Rouge - video
2. You're the One That I Want - Grease -  video
3. Grow Old With You - The Wedding Singer - video
4. All I Want Is You - Juno - video
5. All I Ask of You - Phantom of the Opera - video

Fun facts about some of these songs:
- Song number 1 is a song that we very frequently sing out loud to each other no matter who is around.
- The Hubs quoted song number 3 during his proposal. (Which happened to be on stage with one of my favorite bands/friends)
- Song number 5 is just special because that is one of our favorite movies and that song brings tears to both of our eyes sometimes. (Don't tell him I said that.)

Sorry I missed posting this yesterday, this weekend has been crazy hectic so far. We are working harder than ever to get our house ready to move into as soon as possible. The snow slowed us down a bit but we are back to work!

silly love songs

So, in about 5 days it will be my favorite day of the year. Yep, Valentine's day is almost here! Normally, I would be in full Valentine mode, making decorations, baking cookies and watching lots of romance movies. Moving has put a damper on those things. All the movies are packed, my craft supplies are packed and I just haven't gotten around to making cookies. Maybe I can today since we are snowed in and can't really do much else. Speaking of snow we got 14 more inches today! That's on top of the 20 we already had from last week! Needless to say, I am tired of snow. I want spring and summer...NOW!

For now though, let's get back to Valentine's day. It warms my heart. It's always been one of my favorite holidays. I always celebrate it like one would celebrate Christmas. The entire month of January is Valentine's season for me. I put up decorations. I spend hours watching cute movies and listening to love songs. Even in years when I didn't have a Valentine I would still get so excited for it. Maybe it's because my parents always made a big deal about it. My Mom and Dad would both get me Valentine's day presents. They did that will almost every single holiday though. Even St. Patrick's day. My Mom would always get us something small just to say we got something. It was fun. Still to this day though I get so excited for Valentine's day. Now I have a permanent Valentine, my lovely husband. That makes it even more special. I love going out and picking out cute little presents for him and planning a cute date. We've decided the past few years to have 2 Valentine's days so we can both plan a special date for the other. Last year was so magical. The day before Valentine's day we went to a place in Tulsa called Caramel (it's closed now. sad.) and my love bought me the Moulin Rouge soundtrack. It's one of my favorite movies and we love to sing the songs to each other. It's pretty cute. :) Then the next day, on Valentine's day, we went to see Valentine's Day and it was so good. That day he bought me the soundtrack for that movie too. I'm a sucker for love songs. Later that night we went to The Melting Pot for a cozy, romantic date. It was so amazing. That night we decided that "Today Was A Fairytale" by Taylor Swift was our theme song for the day. I think it will end up being the same this year. The hubs and I have a million songs that seem to describe us perfectly but that one was just special that day. I literally cried on the way home listening to it that night because I just love him so much. Yeah, cheesy I know...sorry. :)

Anyway, here's what I've decided to do this year. Starting today, I will make a list of 5 of our favorite love songs. I'll post a list every day until Valentine's day and then I'll do a list of 10 on Valentine's day including some I have already posted and some new ones. I think it will be fun and I love sharing new song and new artists with people. So, I hope you enjoy and comment with some of your favorite love songs or any song!
