1. Tell us a bit about your blog.

My blog, Yellow & Daisies, is where I share crafty things like crochet and sewing projects but I also share a bit of everything else that goes on in my life.

2. Do you have any hobbies?

I have rode horses for the past four years and it will always be a passion of mine!

3. What is the last book you read?

The Help by Kathyrn Stockett.

4. Favorite movie?

The Notebook. So cliche, I know, but I love the music and fashion from that era.

5. Favorite food?

I have a huge weakness for Nutella anything!

6. What is your dream job?

An elementary school teacher. Which is what I am going to school for, so dreams do come true!

7. Do you have any pets?

I have 4. A boxer, 2 beagles, and a cat. 

8. If you could have lunch with anyone in the world who would it be?

Stacy London, hands down. I have watched What Not to Wear for as long as I can remember and I would love to get fashion tips from her!

9. Any favorite blogs?

I follow 50+ blogs through google reader and I love them all! The Pioneer Woman blog was the first blog I ever read so that always has a place in my heart!

10. Do you have any last words of wisdom for the readers?

"If you think you can, you can. If you think you can't, you can't."

Today on Friendly Friday we have the lovely Abi from Vanilla & Lace! Just like Christen, I met Abi through some wonderful friends. I absolutely love her blog. The photos are amazing! She is a great photographer and she has a new dress line that you should all check out! I want one of each!

1. Tell us about your blog.  vanilla & lace is a place where i document everything from the food i'm eating and clothes i'm remaking to dates with husband, with plenty of pictures of everything in between.  2. What do you do in your spare time?   play board games with friends..

right now i'm dying to go to australia

4. What is your favorite recipe?    I think i have about 400 favorite recipes but i just recently made a chocolate peanut butter pie (from pioneer woman) and it was to die for!

right now it's probably mad men (predictable, i know)

Friendly Friday: Two Happy Hearts

Today's guest is Christen of Two Happy Hearts>. I met Christen through some friends a few years ago. She is so sweet and I just love her blog! Not to mention she is so cute and has great fashion sense (unlike myself).

1. What is your blog about? 

My blog is about my daily fashion and things that inspire me. I love bringing beauty and inspiration to anyone who might stumble upon my blog.

2. What are some of your hobbies? 

I love spending time with my husband, vintage shopping, baking, making and drinking good coffee, and (of course)...blog-browsing!

3. Favorite food? 

I adore desserts! Give me a good sugar cookie, brownie, or ice cream of any kind and I'll be a happy camper!

4. What is your favorite book?

 My favorite author is Francesca Lia Block. I've been reading her books since high school. They're magical! I especially love the "Weetzie Bat" series.

5. What is your dream job? 

That's an easy one - owning a shop with my twin sister. We would love to have our own beautiful space to sell vintage things, clothes we've made, and cutsie little gifts.

6. What's your favorite place you've ever visited?

 New Zealand, for sure! My husband is from Auckland, NZ. I visited a few years ago, and I adored the beaches, culture, and green pastures. We would always find gorgeous jump spots....once we jumped off a cliff into the ocean, and another time we found a tree with a rope swing that dropped you right into the sea!

7. What's your favorite thing to bake? 

I love baking cookies. My favorite recipe at the moment is oatmeal with white chocolate and cranberries. YUMS!

8.What is your favorite color? 

Right now I have a few: mustard, teal, and red-orange. I actually really like how they all look together!

9. What are some of your favorite blogs?

Stay true! It may sound cheesy, but be proud of who you are and what you have to offer to the blog world! There are so many opportunities to look around at what others are doing. Remember that you are your own person. Represent and share things that you love. You'll find some pretty amazing, genuine friends and connections if you stay true ;)

Friendly Friday: O, Be My Delight

This week's Friendly Friday I asked my dear friend Eryn of O, Be My Delight a few questions. I absolutely love Eryn she is dating one of my best buddies Jordan and they are just the cutest!

1. What do you blog about?

Mm usually about Jesus and what He is doing in my life. Sometimes just my thoughts, and things I see in my day to day life. 

2. What's your favorite thing about blogging?

I'm an outward processor, so it helps me to get all my thoughts and feelings out and onto somewhere so that I can understand myself better. The fun part about that is that I often have friends who read my blog tell me about how God really spoke to them through my experience, or how it helped them understand themselves or what they're feeling better. 

3. What is your dream vacation?

My dream vacation...Bora Bora with my sweet boyfriend Jordan. For. Sure.  

4. Favorite flavor of ice cream?

Bubble gum or Candy Floss. Want. 

5. What is your dream job?

To own my own restauant/coffee shop and get to serve people and bless them with delicious food and hospitality. 

6. What is your favorite food?

Favourite Food..Tapsilog. It's a Filipino breakfast that I used to eat basically three meals a day while I was living in Cainta, Rizal. This delicious cured beef, garlic rice, coleslaw, and a fried egg. Super random, but incredible. Or mashed potatoes.  

7. What is your favorite book?

the Practice of the Presence of God by Brother Lawrence. It is an incredibly simple book written by a monk, Brother Lawrence, and all about how you don't separate your life from your prayer life. Its incredible and humbling. And of course, anything Jane Austen. 

8. If you could meet any celebrity who would it be?

Any celebrity EVER..Umm Audrey Hepburn hands down. She was stunning, and had the most beautiful heart and outlook on life to match that. One of those examples of inner beauty making someone more beautiful. 

9. Any favorite blogs?

Favourite blogs...Well my girlfriend Kindra's blog (themealplanner.blogspot.com) is incredible. She's a beautiful woman who is a mother of two girls, and a wife to one of the elders at my church back home. And her blog is all about making amazing meals, making it fun, and keeping a legit budget. Some of the best recipes ever on there. She's a gem.

this. is. glamorous. blog - ( http://citified.blogspot.com/) is all about fashion, beauty and everything glamorous. I can peruse that site for hours!

levi the poet's blog (http://levithepoet.tumblr.com/) This is my best friend, Brandii's husband. He IS (as his blog says) a man of many words, and his blog often leaves me bawling my eyes out, and checking my heart.

arrow & Apple (http://www.arrowandapple.com/blog/) The amazing Rhodes creative husband and wife duo. This is their photoblog and its amazing. The two of them are so gifted in capturing the beauty of life and love.

Annnnnnd of course, last but not least - A Beautiful Mess.http://abeautifulmess.typepad.com/ this girl is simply just the cutest thing ever.

10. Have any words of wisdom?

Hindsight is always 20/20.  And of course..To never take yourself too seriously. Life's too short to not act five years old as much as you can.

O, Be My Delight

Friendly Friday: Gourmet Giggles

Today is the first day of our new feature, Friendly Friday! I'm really excited to get started. I will be interviewing different bloggers every week and posting the interviews here. Let's get started with week 1. 

I'd like to introduce Malorie of Gourmet Giggles. I've known Malorie since 5th grade. She now has a beautiful family and is getting a new little blog started. 

1. What do you blog about?

My blog is a bit sporadic. I blog about my life as the wife of a chef, being a mother, and whatever sparks my interest.

2. What inspires you?

Everyday life. I love seeing the blessings God has given me..  I have an amazing and talented husband and a gorgeous daughter.

3. How did you get started blogging?

I love to write and started a blog about a year ago, but between working and planning my wedding I stopped. Now that life is slowing down I am excited to be back at it.

4. What are your top 3 favorite movies?

1. Tombstone 2. The Goonies 3. The Wizard of Oz

5. Favorite foods?

 hmm.. thats a hard one.. I love trying new things, but if I had to pick I really love pork cheeks and fried chicken.

6. How about favorite tv shows?

Modern Family and Psych!!

7. Any favorite blogs?

Honey and Thread of course! I also love AmyHortonPhotography and Unveiled Wife.

8. Words of wisdom?

 Listen to your heart. People will always give you advice and tell you what they think is best for you, but don't let that keep you from what your heart tells you to do.
